METHI-ALOO-PARATHA

Ingredients
  • Fenugreek leaves (or kasuri methi soaked in warm water)
  • Boiled smashed potatoes – 2 to 3 medium size
  • All-purpose flour – ½ cup
  •  Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Read chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Finely chopped green chillies – 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves, chopped – 1 tsp
  • Ajwain powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Oil/ butter – 2tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Luke warm water
  • Oil/butter – for frying
Method

First take a bowl. Add all the ingredients together and make the dough with warm water. Add little oil. Keep the dough covered and set aside for 30 mins. Make equal sized balls from this dough and sprinkle flour over the ball. Now roll it to a round shape/triangle shape (as per your choice) paratha (slightly thick).
Heat a tawa. Keep the flame high at first. Now place a paratha and cook it. Keep the flame in medium at this time. When you see bubbles, flip it to the other side and cook. Add oil/butter as per your choice and your paratha is ready to serve.
