Ingredients
- Chicken, on bone – 800 gms
- Onion, Chopped – 2 large size
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Tomato, chopped – 1 large size
- Yogurt, whipped – ½ cup
- Coriander leave paste – 1 cup
- Green chillies – 5 to 6
- Lemon juice – 2 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander seeds - 1/3 tsp
- Dry red chilli – 2
- Fresh cream – 3 to 4 tsp
- Coriander leaves, chopped - for garnishing
- Butter – as required
- Salt – to taste
- Sugar – to taste
**you can use oil instead of butter
Method
Take the chicken pieces in a bowl. Add lemon juice, pepper powder, coriander leave paste and whipped yogurt. Mix well and keep the marinated chicken for at least 45mins.
Heat butter in a pan/kadai. Sauté coriander seeds and dry red chillies. Add the chopped onion and fry till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Fry it for another 3 to 4 mins. Now add the marinated chicken. Add green chillies and salt. Add turmeric powder, cumin & coriander powder and ½ tsp of sugar. Add garam masala powder. Mix well. Cover the lid. Cook it in medium low flame for 15 to 20 mins. In between open the lid and stir well. Don’t add water to it. When the chicken becomes nicely soft add fresh cream. Mix well. Garnish with fresh cream & chopped coriander leaves. Enjoy it with naan/ rice.
