DRY CHICKEN MASALA


Ingredients
  • Chicken, on bone - 800 gm
  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Onion, chopped - 2 large size
  • Ginger-garlic, chopped - 2 tsp
  • Tomato, chopped - 1 large size
  • Green chillies, chopped - 5 to 6
  • Coriander leaves, chopped - 3 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - to taste
  • Mustard oil - as required


Method

Take the chicken pieces in a bowl. Marinate it with lemon juice and pepper powder.

Heat oil in pan/ kadai. Add the chicken pieces to it. Fry the chicken till golden brown. Drain and keep aside. In the remaining oil, add chopped ginger-garlic. Add chopped onion and fry till slight brown. Add tomato. Don't overcook. Add the chicken pieces to it. Add  green chillies, turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, sugar and salt. Cook it in medium high flame for 15 to 20 mins. In between stir well. Add chopped coriander leaves and garam masala powder. Cook it till the chicken becomes soft. Serve hot with rice/ roti.
