Ingredients
- Soya mini chunks - 1 cup
- Onion, sliced - 1 large size
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Tomato, chopped - 1 large size
- Dry red chilli - 2
- Cumin seeds - a pinch
- Turmeric powder - 1/3 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Almond paste - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - to taste
- Oil - as required
Method
Boil the soya chunks with some salt for 5mins. Drain the water and keep aside.
Heat oil in pan/ kadai. Add cumin seeds and dry red chilli. Sauté for 1 min and add sliced onion. Add salt and sugar. Fry it till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Fry it for another 5mins. Add the soya chunks. Fry it. When it turns slight brown, add turmeric powder, cumin & coriander powder, garam masala powder and some warm water. Cook it till the masala leaves oil. Add the almond paste and some more water. Cook it till the gravy becomes dry. Enjoy with rice/ roti.
