Ingredients
- Bottle gourd (Lau), chopped - 1 small size
- Fish head - 1, break into pcs
- Black cumin - 1/3 tsp
- Dry red chilli - 1
- Green chillies - 2
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin & coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - to taste
- Oil - as required
Method
Marinate the fish head pcs with some turmeric powder and salt. Heat oil. Fry those pcs, take it out and keep aside.
In 1 tsp oil, add dry red chilli and black cumin. When it start to crackle, add chopped bottle gourd. Add turmeric powder and salt. Cook for 2 to 3 mins. Add green chillies and cumin & coriander powder. Cover the lid. Cook it in medium low flame. You can add a little bit warm water. When the bottle gourd is almost cooked, add the fried fish head. Cook for another few mins. Serve hot with plain rice.
