NARKEL BORA (COCONUT VADA)


Ingredients

  • Coconut, grated - 1 cup
  • Coconut, finely chopped - 3 to 4 tsp
  • Green chillies, chopped - 1 tsp
  • Besan - 3 to 4 tsp
  • Baking powder - a pinch
  • Turmeric powder - 1/3 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - to taste
  • Oil - as required for deep fry

Method

In a mixing bowl, add grated & chopped coconut, green chillies, turmeric powder, besan, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add a little water and mix well. 

Heat oil for deep fry. Add 2 tsp hot oil to the mixture. Now take a small portion of the mixture, slightly press using your thumb and add to the oil. Fry it in medium flame. Turn it when looks light brown. Take it out in the kitchen towel. It absorbs extra oil. Enjoy this snacks with a crunchy bite.
