Ingredients
- Telapia Mach (fish) - 4
- Fennel seeds - 1/3 tsp
- Onion, chopped - 1 medium size
- Green capsicum, chopped - 2 tsp
- Green papaya slice - 2 to 3
- Coriander leaves, chopped - 1 cup
- Tomatoes, chopped - 1 medium size
- Ginger, chopped - 1 tsp
- Green chillis - 3
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Fresh cream - 3 tsp (optional)
- Salt - to taste
- Honey - 1 tsp
- Oil - as required
Method
Marinate the fishes with turmeric powder and salt. Heat oil for deep fry. Add the fishes and fry both sides. Keep aside.
In mixer, add capsicum, papaya, coriander leaves, tomatoes, ginger and green chillies. Make a fine smooth paste.
In 2 tsp oil add fennel seeds. Add chopped onion & fry till golden brown. Add the grinded paste to it. Stir well. Add cumin powder, garam masala powder and salt. Cook till the masala leaves oil. Add some warm water and honey. Mix well. Let it boil. Add the fried fishes to it. Cook it for another few mins. Add fresh cream. Mix well. When the gravy becomes thick, garnish with some chopped coriander leaves n fresh cream. Serve hot with rice.
