Ingredients
- Egg - 4
- Potato, cut into 1inch long size- 1 large size
- Onion, chopped - 1 large size
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Tomatoes, chopped - 1 large size
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Poppy seeds, soaked in water - 1 tsp
- Sesame seeds, soaked in water - 1 tsp
- Cashew nuts - 7 to 8
- Green chillies- 3 to 4
- Dry red chilli - 1
- Five spice blend (panch foron) - 1/3 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - to taste
- Mustard oil - as required
Method
In a mixer grinder, add poppy & sesame seeds, cashew nuts and green chillies. Add a little water and make a fine smooth paste.
Heat oil in pan/wok. Crack one egg into it as poch. Fry the both side of the poch and keep aside. Make all the poch like this and keep aside.
Now in the remaining oil, add dry red chilli & panch foron. Add the potatoes and onion. Fry it till the potatoes are half cooked and onions turns to golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Fry it for another 2-3 mins. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt and sugar. Add a little warm water. Let it boil. Now add the grinded paste. Mix well. Add the poched eggs to it. Cook it till the gray becomes dry. Add 1 tsp mustard oil and serve hot with rice/ roti.
