MILD FISH CURRY WITH EGGPLANTS (BEGUN DIYE MACHER JHOL)



Ingredients
  • Fish (ray-khoira) - 4
  • Eggplant, cut into long pcs - 1 small size
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Black cumin - 1/3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/3 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - as required


Method

Marinate the fishes with turmeric powder and salt. Heat oil in pan/wok. Add the fishes and fry both sides. Take it out. Keep 1 tsp oil in the pan and remove the extra oil. Add black cumin. After a few sec, add eggplant. Fry for 1 to 2 mins. add turmeric powder, cumin & coriander powder and green chillies. Add some warm water. Cook for another few mins. Add salt and some more water (warm). Cover the lid. When it starts to boil, add fried fishes. Let it boil for another few mins. Serve hot with rice.
