PALAK TAWA SANDWICH

Palak Tawa Sandwich - a very easy recipe with daily common ingredients. Serve it in breakfast or pack it in tiffin for your kids. Sometimes, kids don't wanna have green veggies or leafs, but this will surely satisfy their taste-buds. Always remember, your kids love to have colorful and lookwise attractive dishes. Ingredients

  • Brown bread slice - 4
  • Palak, chopped - 1 cup
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped - 2 tsp
  • Green chillies, chopped - 1
  • Potato, boiled & grated - 1 small size
  • Corn, steamed - 1/3 cup
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced - 1 small size
  • Cheese, grated - 1/2 cup
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chat masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
  • Green chutney - 2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Butter - as required

Method

Heat 1/2 tsp butter in a pan. Add the palak and fresh coriander leaves. Add some salt and black pepper powder. It will leave water. Cook it till dry. Once it becomes dry, add the grated potato, green chillies and corn. Mix well. Make it complete dry. Switch off the flame.


Now, take a slice of brown bread. spread green chutney over it (on one side). Spread tomato ketchup over another slice of bread. Place the cucumber slice and add some palak mixture onto it. Add grated cheese, sprinkle some chat masala powder and pepper powder. Top with another slice of bread.


Put a tawa on the flame. Add some butter. Place the sandwich and toast both side. Once it is nice and crisp, take it out and cut in triangle shape.


Serve hot along with some tomato ketchup and chips.
