Nothing can beat the taste of egg - this is absolutely true. Today's recipe is very easy & simple, i.e. Dim Posto. This is a must try recipe for posto lovers too. And when we put this two ingredients together, a delicious dish comes out. Serve it as a side dish along with steamed rice. Dear egg-lovers, this preparation is for you! Ingredients
- Egg - 4
- Poppy seeds, soaked in water - 3 tsp
- Cashew nuts - 5 to 6
- Green chilli - 3
- Onion, chopped - 1
- Tomatoes, chopped - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Black cumin seeds - 1/3 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - to taste
- Mustard oil - as required
Method
Put a deep sauce pan on the flame. Add 3 cups of water. Add some salt. Bring it to boil. Add the eggs. Boil for about 10 mins. Transfer the eggs in chilled water immediately. Peeled and poke the eggs using a toothpick. Sprinkle some salt and turmeric powder.
Take a blender. Add the poppy seeds, cashew nuts and a green chilli. Add some water and make a fine smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan. Add the eggs and fry a little. Take these out and keep aside.
In the remaining oil, add black cumin seeds. After a few secs, add chopped onion and fry till light brown. Add the chopped tomato and green chilli. Put some salt into it. Cook till the tomatoes are nice and soft. Add some turmeric powder and sugar. Now add the grinded paste and fry for a little. Add some water (warm) and the fried eggs. Bring it to boil. Once it becomes dry, add 1 tsp of mustard oil. Give it a nice mix. Enjoy with steamed rice.
