Today's recipe is a lovely delicious snacks - Mix Pakoda. A very famous & common road side snack which can be made easily at home. Let's check out the ingredients -
Ingredients
- Potato, finely chopped - 1 large size
- Beans, finely chopped - 1/2 cup
- Cabbage, finely sliced - 1 cup
- Cauliflower, chopped into small pcs - 1/2 cup
- Onion, thinly sliced - 3 large size
- Green chilli, finely chopped - 6 to 7
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped - 1/2 cup
- Egg - 2
- Gram flour (Besan) - 3 tsp
- All purpose flour - 2 tsp
- Rice flour - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Baking powder - 1/3 tsp
- Ajwain - 1/3 tsp
- Chat masala powder - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1/3 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for deep fry
Method
In a large mixing bowl, take all the veggies and sliced onion. Add the green chillies, coriander leaves and mix well. Add the gram flour, all purpose flour and rice flour to it. Give it a nice mix. Now add ajwain, chat masala powder, turmeric powder, sugar, salt and baking powder. Beat eggs into it. Heat 2 tsp oil and pour into it. Add a little water and mix well. Make the mixture in medium thick consistency.
In a kadhai, heat oil for deep fry. Once the oil is hot enough, keep the flame in medium high. Spread small small amount of the mixture. Fry till golden brown. Once the pakodas are nice and crisp, serve hot. Sprinkle some chat masala powder. Enjoy with hot tea or coffee.
